Roughneck Riot (Punk / Folk | Warrington, UK)

Roughneck Riot (Punk / Folk | Warrington, UK)
Roughneck Riot have been hammering the roads in UK and mainland Europe since their inception, earning
a reputation as a hard-working and well travelled live tour de force. Staunchly anti-fascist and anti-
dickhead, the motive of internationalist solidarity is needed more than ever.
After a spell of recording and recuperating, and a further enforced spell of quarantine, Roughneck Riot are
restless and snapping at the ankles. Older and more prone to tiredness, but spurred on by constant
irritation. Roughneck Riot are more than ready for a new release and chomping at the bit to travel, sweat
and shout to a post-brexit apocalypse.
Press Quotes:
Roughneck Riot have been a staple part of the UK DIY scene for 15 years, creating a blueprint for any
young, aspiring musicians to follow in how to ‘make it’ as a band.. hard work, commitment and sheer
determination (Shout louder)
One of the things I love about this album the most is that it doesn't lean on the Irish roots of folk so much
like a lot of other acts in the genre, it's not laden with drinking songs either, it's a fresher stand alone
punkier sound that makes them stand out strongly against their peers. (Rock freaks)
Here, the exact right dose of anger meets an excellent degree of experienced songwriting and a general
ear for great choruses
The band are known for their hardcore edge whilst keeping touch with the folk punk sound. The album is
well balanced, and the results are impressive. (London Celtic Punks)
..through all the angst and beauty of the tracks that follow, the album is in need of repeat spins to capture
all the intricacies
In general, the texts, just like the entire arrangement, are always very well thought out. Great songwriting
looks exactly like that. This runs like a common thread through the album.
