Now Ex (Pop / London, UK) + support: Dejector

East London alt pop artist Now Ex just kicked off a whole new era of dark, electro stadium anthems, the first singles from his highly antic- ipated second EP, ‘Still Dressed For Winter’. The pseudonym for song- writer and critically acclaimed film director Nick Hampson, Now Ex is multi-dimensional pop that was built for the big screen. Nick’s films, the most recent of which was nominated for an Emmy award in 2021, have a lot in common with his music - they both create and explore parallel worlds that are one moment laced with painful euphoria, and the next flowing with an infectious lust for life. This visual identity, anchored by colour coded eras, makes Now Ex gigs truly memorable.

Coming off the back of sold out shows at Camden Assembly and Signature Brew Blackhorse Road, and with a forthcoming 350 cap show at the infamous Omeara headed for sell out, Now Ex is rapidly accruing a global army of devoted fans who champion his music like it’s their own, and turn out repeatedly to see him. In June he will head to Europe for his first headline shows in the Netherlands and Germany. Frequent support from Spotify editorial playlists, along- side radio play from the likes of the BBC and RTE radio, promises to make this a very big year ahead for Now Ex.
