Dead To Me+ Überyou
Dead To Me is a Bay Area punk rock band known for blending melodic urgency with
sharp political and personal commentary. Formed in the early 2000s, the band quickly
earned a reputation for thoughtful songwriting, explosive live shows, and a sound that
bridges classic punk intensity with post-punk and alternative influences.
Their discography includes the breakout debut Cuban Ballerina (2001), followed by the
critically praised African Elephants LP (2005), which expanded the band’s sonic range
and lyrical scope. The Little Brother EP further refined their sound, and in 2016 Dead To
Me returned with Moscow Penny Ante, marking a powerful evolution while staying
rooted in the band’s core identity.
Dead To Me is currently touring as a five-piece, featuring founding member Jack
Dalrymple (One Man Army, Toy Guitar, Swinging Utters) and Nathan Grice (Page 99).
Grice previously played guitar and contributed vocals on the African Elephants LP and
the Little Brother EP, helping shape a defining era of the band’s sound.
In 2025, Dead To Me made high-profile festival appearances at Punk in the Park, Punk
Rock Bowling, and The Fest in Gainesville, reaffirming their status as a vital live band.
Looking ahead, they are set to headline Manchester Punk Fest in 2026, continuing a
resurgence that connects longtime fans with a new generation.With a catalog that balances intelligence, melody, and raw energy, Dead To Me remains
a band whose music and message resonate as strongly now as ever.
From Zurich to the wide world - Überyou is all about friendship and the love for music. The
band has toured all over the world and played in places like Havana, São Paulo, Kiev, Kuala
Lumpur and Texas, just to name a few. February 2023 finally saw the release of the 5th studio
album titled "Silver Lining" on Gunner Records (Europe), Inhumano (CH) & Say-10 Records
(USA). With the spirit of Gainesville punk bands like Hot Water Music and Against Me in their
hearts and the essence of the Swiss punk scene in their veins, Überyou is energetic,
DIY-committed and keeping the good times high since 2008!To cut a long story short, Überyou love touring and the DIY way: DIY, socializing and
understanding what crazy far away countries are all about. So every tour has still led to great
friendships with many bands and people. The band tries to be 100% involved in the scene,
helps with releasing and mixing records, supplies touring bands with equipment and hosts
many shows themselves, for example Obenuse Fest.
